News Summary

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are set to begin their Halloween season with new entertainment offerings and merchandise starting in August. The Oogie Boogie Bash kicks off on August 17, followed by the parks’ Halloween Time festivities beginning August 22. Despite some attractions being temporarily paused for these celebrations, favorites like ‘Wondrous Journeys’ and ‘Paint the Night’ will return during select dates. Guests can also look forward to Halloween-themed food options and seasonal merchandise as the parks gear up for a festive atmosphere.

Disneyland, CaliforniaDisneyland and Disney California Adventure are gearing up for the Halloween season as notable changes in entertainment offerings and the launch of special merchandise are set to begin in August 2025. As part of ongoing celebrations for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, which began in May, several attractions will temporarily pause to facilitate the upcoming festive events.

The highly anticipated Oogie Boogie Bash, a Halloween celebration at Disney California Adventure, will commence on August 17. Following that, both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will officially kick off their Halloween Time festivities on August 22, running through October 31. The winter holiday season revival at both parks will follow, scheduled from November 14 to January 7.

While some of the current entertainment offerings will be suspended in August, they are expected to resume shortly after the winter holiday season concludes. Notably, the popular “Wondrous Journeys” show will return during select dates between Halloween and Christmas, providing guests a glimpse of its magical display before pausing for the holiday period. Additionally, the Paint the Night parade will continue through the Halloween season but will halt during the winter festivities.

In contrast, the “World of Color Happiness” show will maintain operations at DCA’s Paradise Bay throughout the Halloween and Christmas seasons, avoiding the customary holiday-themed versions of the water display. Furthermore, the Tapestry of Happiness projection show will remain featured on the It’s a Small World facade during both Halloween Time and the Christmas season.

Within the Halloween offerings, Disneyland will feature the Frightfully Fun Parade during Oogie Boogie Bash on select nights, starting August 17. The Halloween Screams fireworks show and the Mickey & Friends Halloween Cavalcade will commence on August 22, delighting guests with nighttime festivities.

As the transition to winter holidays approaches, the “Believe in Holiday Magic” fireworks show alongside the A Christmas Fantasy parade will return starting November 14.

Several shows will experience scheduling changes during the Halloween season, including the “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live,” which will be replaced by “Mickey’s Trick and Treat.” Notably, the Frightfully Fun Parade and Halloween entertainment will not interfere with the newly introduced attraction lineup celebrating Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.

Tickets for the Oogie Boogie Bash will go on sale to the general public soon, with prices starting at $139 for ages three and older, peaking at $199 for Halloween night. Similarly, Walt Disney World’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will run select nights from August 15 to October 31, with ticket prices beginning at $119 and reaching up to $229 for the highest-demand nights with some dates already sold out.

The seasonal celebration also features new merchandise, such as Halloween-themed apparel, including the new Not-So-Scary Spirit Jersey and exclusive glow-in-the-dark tees and Halloween-themed backpacks available only to party attendees. In addition, the recently launched Haunted Mansion Collection, debuted on July 7, 2025, offers a range of merchandise inspired by the iconic attraction.

Guests can also expect Halloween-themed food offerings at Disneyland, including pumpkin spice breadsticks and new plant-based options alongside returning favorites like pumpkin spice beignets. The Halloween celebration atmosphere will feature spooky decorations, special entertainment, ride overlays, and seasonal foods, all included with standard park admission.

Plaza de la Familia celebration at Disney California Adventure will begin on August 22 and run until November 2, further enhancing the overall festive experience at the parks.
