Anaheim Unveils New Parking Garages Near Honda Center

Multi-level parking garages adjacent to Honda Center in Anaheim

News Summary

Anaheim has introduced two new multi-level parking garages near the Honda Center as part of the $4 billion OCVibe development by the Samueli family. The garages offer 4,500 new parking spaces, easing access for attendees of Ducks games and concerts. General parking is included with event tickets, but preferred options will not be available starting in October. The OCVibe project will also feature restaurants, a concert theater, and new apartments and parks by 2026, while a new pedestrian bridge will enhance access during ongoing construction.

Anaheim has unveiled two new multi-level parking garages adjacent to the Honda Center, marking the initial phase of the ambitious $4 billion, 100-acre OCVibe development led by the Samueli family, owners of the Anaheim Ducks. The Cerritos Garage C and Katella Garage K will provide a combined total of 4,500 new parking spaces, enhancing access for fans attending Ducks hockey games and concerts at the venue.

General parking will be included with event tickets, allowing ticket holders to drive in without the need to scan at a toll booth. Instead, attendees can simply present a ticket that covers the cost of general parking. However, preferred parking options will not be available starting in October, so fans are encouraged to plan accordingly.

These two interconnected parking structures are expected to significantly ease traffic flow for guests attending events at the Honda Center, especially with the Ducks’ preseason games coming up on September 22, 24, and 29. Event-goers are advised to arrive early, as limited parking availability is anticipated through the end of September.

The OCVibe development promises a wide array of features that will begin to open in 2026, including restaurants, a 5,700-seat concert theater, public event spaces, and a Market Hall that will house over two dozen food stalls. As part of the ongoing construction, the project will also introduce 2,000 new apartments, parks, smaller performance venues, and two hotels. A third parking structure is planned for future construction, further expanding the facilities available in the area.

In terms of current road access, South Douglass Road will no longer extend past Katella Avenue due to ongoing construction. As a result, a new pedestrian bridge will be built over Katella Avenue to provide a safe connection to the Honda Center. Meanwhile, East Cerritos Avenue remains operational, leading patrons directly to Cerritos Garage, while both Stanley Cup Way and River Road have also reopened.

Guests needing to navigate to the Honda Center can keep updated on event guidelines, parking information, and venue access through the Honda Center + Ducks app. This app enhances the experience by making mobile food ordering and ticket management more efficient. In addition, visitors should be aware of arena policies regarding bag restrictions and enhanced screening technologies along with various concessions options available during games and events.

The renovation of the arena, which has an estimated cost of $1 billion, aims to create a more fan-friendly atmosphere while providing streamlined access to parking areas. It is important to note that the Samueli family has financed all renovation costs without any city funding. Furthermore, there is an eagerness from the Ducks to replicate the success seen with the OCVibe project at Angel Stadium, although conversations with the Angels have encountered challenges.

Fans of the Ducks will have opportunities to engage in loyalty programs and special promotions throughout the season, contributing to an enhanced game-day experience. With the opening of the new parking garages and impending developments, the Ducks and their facilities are aiming to position themselves as a central hub for entertainment in Anaheim.
