Lafayette High School shines bright with remarkable achievements in mathematics, music, and business leadership. The Math Club excelled at the State Mu Alpha Theta Convention, winning several awards and individual honors. The LHS Choir earned gold medals and the Adjudicators Award for outstanding performances. Meanwhile, the FBLA chapter was recognized as the Largest Chapter in Louisiana, proudly qualifying numerous members for the upcoming nationals. These successes highlight the dedication and talent present in Lafayette High School, showcasing a vibrant culture of excellence.
In the vibrant city of Lafayette, big achievements are rolling in from Lafayette High School, proving once more that hard work truly pays off! The Math Club, Choir, and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) have all made splashes at various state competitions, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of their members.
This past weekend, the LHS Math Club showcased its skills at the State Mu Alpha Theta Convention in Baton Rouge. The competition was tough, but our Mathletes were ready to shine! The team returned with an impressive collection of awards, highlighting individual and team performances across multiple categories.
Among the highlights, we had Roan Menard capturing 16th place in the Individual Test Mu A, while the LHS team secured a remarkable 9th place in the Theta Interschool Test. Not to be outdone, Ishan Kunada placed 9th in the Individual Test Mu B, and his talent continued to shine, as he clinched 2nd place in Area Test Mu B! Additionally, Molly Lai and Rudra Karadkhelkar also stood out, achieving 9th and 8th places respectively in their areas, balancing their grades and glory!
In an impressive team performance, the LHS team notched 4th place in the Mu Interschool Test. But the big winner was Aarav Das, who dominated the competition by taking home 1st place in the Individual Test Geometry! Coach Dale alongside Rudra Karadkhelkar was also re-elected as next year’s State Mu Alpha Theta Webmasters, continuing their legacy of supporting mathematics education.
