Born on August 19, 1929, in sunny Santa Ana, California, Rosemary Weir came into this world as the daughter of Roland and Marie. Her family later relocated to the bustling city of Anaheim, where she spent her formative years. Rosemary attended elementary and middle schools locally before graduating from Anaheim Union High School in 1947. A lifelong learner, she pursued higher education at both Fullerton and Santa Ana Community Colleges, proudly earning her associate’s degree.
Passions and Hobbies
Known for her zest for life, Rosemary had a strong passion for water sports. An avid swimmer, she was a prominent member of her high school’s junior lifesaving team. Her love for music was equally prominent—an aspiring opera singer, she showcased her talents in various choirs and choruses throughout her life. Rosemary was no stranger to the stage either: her involvement in community theater productions delighted audiences and showcased her artistic flair.
Her musical endeavors didn’t stop there—an accomplished piano player, Rosemary often entertained her family with beautiful melodies, creating a warm atmosphere filled with love and laughter.

Rosemary thrived as a volunteer at several notable organizations, including the beloved Angel Shop and the Bottom Shelf Book Store. Her passion for service extended to the Carlsbad Flower Fields, and she was a cherished Pink Lady at Fallbrook Hospital until its closing.
An animal lover at heart, Rosemary spent years as a member of the Zoological Society in San Diego, where she shared her enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation.
Family Heritage
In her later years, Rosemary made the move to assisted living in December 2022. Rosemary is preceded in death by her beloved sister, Helen Harvey, but her family tree extends generously. She is survived by her sister Linda Mauzey and her children: daughters Cheryl Kelly and Terry Clark, as well as her son, James. The family continued to grow with five grandchildren: Eric Liss, Laura Irvine, Steven Clark, Ashley Clark, and Mary Clark Deuling. Rosemary’s legacy also includes five great-grandchildren: Vaughn Liss, Tommy Irvine, Dylan Clark, Annie Irvine, and River Clark, with another great-grandson on the way come July.
